Begum Parveen Sultana humbled by Sarvottam Samman

This year we are really honoured to present it to Begum Parveen Sultana.” A versatile singer with a classic voice, the Padma Shri and Padma Bhusan awardee Begum Parveen Sultana, while accepting the honour said, “I am overwhelmed to receive the Shyam Sundar Co Sarvottam Samman. I am thankful to God that I got the chance to achieve such a title of excellence in my lifetime. This is a sign of the love of people of Kolkata towards me.
