Watch out City, Lampard’s Blues are coming to get you

first_imgChelsea have won just one game against Manchester City in their last six attempts and haven’t won at the Etihad since 2016, but the Blues have perhaps never had a better chance of inflicting further misery on the Lancashire side.At a time when Manchester City have dropped six points from the last 18 available, Chelsea are the form team in the competition, having won their last five games. The last time these sides met, City triumphed over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final, but since then everything has changed.Frank Lampard has replaced Mauricio Sarri and has overseen an enormous amount of progress in so little time. His emphasis on youth has seen the likes of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori nail down starting berths and it has proved dividends with the Blues currently sitting in third – ahead of City in fourth. Abraham and new signing Christian Pulisic have been firing on all cylinders for Lampard’s side, with the duo involved in 19 of the 27 goals that Chelsea have scored so far in the 2019/20 Premier League campaign.Meanwhile, City are in a perilous place. Their defeat to Liverpool at the weekend left them languishing nine points behind the Merseyside club with City incurring a number of problems during the game, not least their frailty in defence on show for all to see. The departure of club stalwart Vincent Kompany as well as the injury to Aymeric Laporte has left Pep Guardiola’s side vulnerable at the back. Indeed, City’s centre-back partnership was John Stones and Fernandinho at the weekend – hardly comparable to Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren. In fact, City as a whole have looked scared in recent weeks; Kevin de Bruyne has been a far cry away from his usual enigmatic self whilst the absence of Leroy Sane, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Laporte, Ederson, David Silva, Rodri and Benjamin Mendy has hurt them in their title defence. In other words, Chelsea have what it takes to exploit City’s weakness – a sentence which has hardly been spoken in the past few years. And, with City having scored 35 goals and Chelsea 27 in the season already, this is likely to be an exciting and entertaining fixture, with both teams to score predictions likely to pay out. But, if Lampard goes to the Etihad with no fear – as the Blues have played for the majority of the season so far – then Chelsea can inflate Guardiola’s problems, further establish themselves as a top four side and ensure that Liverpool do not race out of sight. They are “ Arrived quickly and, while large and a bit gaudy when handled and inspected, made my daughter match her brothers for a wedding without the expense of s whole new outfit. I received all the same style in different colors but it seems some can be different styles as well as colours. Bought these as a gift for my niece who is only a few months old. I think the fact that i’ve never seen her wear them is hint enough that they were not well received (you live and learn). My own opinion of them is that they look a bit cheap. Personally i’m not into these type of things so that could be clouding my judgement but the baby mama loves this stuff. Great service ,express delivery and beautiful products very pleased. The dark pink one’ s stitching was loose. It fell apart and had to be repaired strait after trying it on but all others were ok. Could not of asked for better quality in better time. These headbands are beautiful. They look lovely on my daughter :)i wasn’t sure initially because as she is only 3 months old i thought the elastic may have been a little tight or hard and leave marks but i thought id try them out because i have had trouble finding headbands in her size (and they were so reasonably priced)the elastic is so soft and stretchy, and the products look just as good as the pictures do. I had an enquiry so therefore had to contact the seller whom i found to be very helpful and the enquiry was dealt with immediately5 star product5 star sellervery happy mum. Very pretty and well made, quick delivery. Not the best quality (random spots of glue there and there). I guess you can’t expect better for a price. My little granddaughter looked lovely in these. They are very light and do not squeeze their little heads at all. Lovely for photos or to brighten up a baby dress/outfit for a special occasion. I needed something for my 4 years old daughter for christmas but not too expensive as she doesn’t like wearing headbands. For that price and 4 of them we can use on different occasions i am happy with them. But it’s definitely slightly too big for my 2 months old baby. The fan arrive quickly, it was as described and good quality. last_img read more

Deciphering the Tax Credits

first_img Sign up for a free trial and get instant access to this article as well as GBA’s complete library of premium articles and construction details. This article is only available to GBA Prime Members The energy-efficiency tax credits and renewable-energy tax credits are better than tax deductions. The allowable credits aren’t just deductible expenses; they represent dollars subtracted directly from your tax bill. While the tax credit program includes illogical rules, the available tax credits can be significant. If you want to claim a tax credit on your 2009 income tax return for energy-efficiency improvements to your home, you should get the improvements installed before the end of the year. There’s really no need to rush, however, since the tax credits will remain available until the end of 2010 — or, in some cases, 2016. Energy-Efficiency CreditsThe energy-efficiency tax credits are available for air-sealing products, insulation, HVAC equipment, water heaters, windows, doors, and roofing. These tax credits were established on February 17, 2009 by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — President Obama’s stimulus bill. The following rules apply to the energy-efficiency tax credits:No tax credits are available for energy-efficiency improvements made in 2008. An earlier tax credit program (with different criteria) was available in 2006 and 2007; tax credits received for improvements in 2006 and 2007 are not counted towards the $1,500 limit on tax credits for 2009 and 2010 improvements.Renewable-Energy CreditsThe renewable-energy tax credits — credits for solar hot water systems, solar electric systems, ground-source heat pumps, wind turbines, and fuel cells — are separate from the energy-efficiency tax credits, and have different rules:The Most Bang For Your BuckIf you’re interested in making your home more energy efficient, and maybe claiming a tax credit while you’re at it, where should you start? For most homeowners, the first step should be a home energy audit. Ideally, this audit should be performed by an experienced RESNET-certified or BPI-certified home performance auditor equipped with a blower door. Unfortunately, no federal tax credits are available to cover any portion of the cost… center_img Start Free Trial Already a member? Log inlast_img read more
